1. We Debug the System, Not the Soul

• • We make fun of workflows, not workers.
• • We roast bad decisions, not people forced to follow them.
• • If your punchline targets the powerless — it's not a bug, it's a problem.
• • We joke about users, but never at their expense. They're not the problem, just usually near one.

2. Political-Free Zone ≠ Values-Free Zone

• • Root Cause doesn't post about politics. Period.
• • Not because nothing matters — but because too much does.
• • This is a comedy oasis. We don't bring the fire here. We cool off.

3. Sarcasm is Welcome. Cynicism Isn't.

4. We Assume Competence. Then Laugh Anyway.

• • Even the best admins mistype....gupdate anyone?
• • We're here to laugh with, not at.
• • Except printers. Printers are always fair game.

5. Don't Punch Down. We've all been the "user" once.

• • We don't laugh at people...we laugh with them, when they're ready.
• • Root Cause doesn't do cheap shots. We aim higher; at vendors, frameworks, and the idea of "agile" with 4 standups a day.
• • If someone's drowning in tickets, we don't throw bricks. We mock the system that put them there, then hand them some fresh Debug Juice.

6. We're Not a Cult, But We Do Have Lore

• • Josh Taco. Debug Juice. The guy behind the dumpster at Denny's.
• • They live here now. If you don't know why, shoot us a line. We love to share our pain.
• • We don't have a leader, but pointy haired bosses abound.

7. You're Welcome Here If You're Willing to Laugh at Yourself

• • If your ego is more secure than your firewall, you'll be fine.
• • If not, we have memes for that.

8. The Root Cause Is Unknown, But the Intent Isn't

• • This is a space built on care, hidden in snark.
• • We're here to connect, cope, and survive the week...one glitched deployment at a time.

• • No SLAs. Just vibes.
